Afghanistan: Operation Lightning Storm
end of January, 1800 French and Afghan soldiers from the 3rd Brigade of the Afghan National Army (ANA) and the Task Force in La Fayette were deployed south of Tagab at the entrance to the valley Bedraou in the Kapisa province. The operation, codenamed Lightning Storm 1, was to neutralize the insurgent networks, very active in this area and preserve the freedom of movement on the major road linking the north and south of Kapisa.
